Laros 2024: final stage completed in Primorsky region
26.09.2024
The final stage of the Laros 2024 joint Russian-Laotian military exercise took place at the Sergeyevsky training ground.
During the practical events, the joint Russian-Laotian group of forces blocked and eliminated illegal armed formations.
Ground-Attack and Army Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, namely Su-25 aircraft, Ka-52 and Mi-8 AMTSh helicopters, were deployed to inflict fire damage on the enemy's moving reserves.
Tactical airborne troops comprising special operations groups of the Russian Armed Forces and Lao People's Army enveloped and neutralised the mock enemy's manpower detected by a search and attack group.
After tank and mortar platoons destroyed the mock enemy's fire power, an assault company of a motorised rifle unit eliminated the remaining enemy troops and captured the assigned line.
Special forces units, tank crews, artillery, infantry fighting vehicles, flamethrowers, and Igla man-portable air defence systems of the Russian Armed Forces and Lao People's Army as well as Ground-Attack and Army Aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces were involved in main stage of the drills.
