Ocean 2024 CPX: Caspian Flotilla repels night attack of uncrewed surface vehicles and destroys coastal enemy targets

In the framework of the Ocean 2024 CPX, the Caspian Flotilla trained to repel attacks of uncrewed surface vehicles of a mock enemy. Organic heavy machine guns and small arms engaged high-speed small naval targets at night and day time.

The ships engaged onshore targets with 100-mm A190-01 artillery systems at a range of over 10km after elimination of hostile uncrewed surface vehicles. The fire was produced at position targets imitating coastal defence line of the mock enemy.

According the training plan of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, formations and units of the Russian Navy have started taking part in the Ocean 2024 strategic command post exercise, which is to last until 16 September 2024. The exercise, which is one of the most important operational and combat training events of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2024, is to be conducted in a bilateral format under the overall command of Admiral Aleksandr Moiseyev, the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.
