28.08.2024
The minesweeper Yakov Balyaev of the Northeastern Group of Troops and Forces underwent drills with a mobile underwater vehicle in the Peter the Great Bay.
Shortly before that, the minesweepers Yakov Balyaev and Anatoly Shlemov passed from Kamchatka to Primorsky region to participate in the drills.
During the drills to guide the Pacific Fleet ships through an area with a mine threat, the crew of the minesweeper Yakov Balyaev deployed the Diyez mine detection system and the Livadiya hydroacoustic station.
The crew used the mobile underwater vehicle to locate and defuse naval mines of different types. The sailors conducted a remote search for dummy mines and destroyed them.
After lifting the mobile underwater vehicle to the ship, the minesweeper Yakov Balyaev set up a trawl and led the Pacific Fleet ship detachment behind it to the designated area.
