Pacific Fleet's naval aircraft master skills in severe weather conditions in Kamchatka
26.08.2024
Pilots of Il-38 anti-submarine warfare aircraft and Ka-27 helicopters of the mixed aviation regiment performed training flights to master their piloting skills in severe weather conditions in Kamchatka.
Il-38 and Il-38N aircraft as well as Ka-27P and Ka-27PS helicopters, made sorties to designated areas within a 100-km radius from their home airfield. At the same time, pilots practised flights in low visibility with low cloud ceiling.
Flight drills were preceded by preliminary training on studying routes and special features of flight areas, as well as technical support for aircraft.
Flight drills took place in accordance with the Pacific Fleet's flight training plan.
