
Northern Fleet's detachment leaves the port of Dudinka

A Northern Fleet detachment of warships consisting of the large anti-submarine ship Vice Admiral Kulakov and the large landing ship Aleksandr Otrakovsky left the port of Dudinka in the direction of the Kara Sea.
The North Fleet's seamen spent a week in the capital of Taymyr. During their stay in Taymyr, the Northern Fleet personnel not only took part in the exercise for the liberation of the Arctic port, which had been captured by saboteurs according to the scenario, but also carried out a large cultural, military-patriotic and sports programme.
After that, the Northern Fleet ships will continue to operate in the Arctic in accordance with the Arctic mission plan.
Another Arctic mission by ships and support vessels of the Northern Fleet has kicked off on 5 August 2024 and is carried out as part of a series of measures intended to safeguard the interests of the Russian Federation in the Arctic. In the course of Arctic missions, carried out on a permanent basis, servicemen of the Northern Fleet practice the tasks of ensuring military security and maritime economic activity of the Russian Federation in the Arctic, defending of continental and island territories, strategically important facilities, and countering illegal armed groups.
