Military police stationed in special military operation zone acquires 3D crime site modelling system
13.08.2024
Investigators of the Russian Military Police will acquire the Filin digital crime site modelling system. The domestic development presented during the round table at the ARMY 2024 IMTF should ensure the safety of personnel in the combat zone, as well as assist specialists in solving crimes.
The Filin system creates a digital model of a crime site and allows specialists to investigate it remotely with augmented reality technologies, involve experts from other organisations by video link, add different notes to protocols.
According to Colonel of Justice Andrey Shilov, head of the leadership of the Investigating Bodies of the Law and Order Enforcement and Security Department of the Main Directorate of the Military Police of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; the Filin system, which is expected to be tested in the special military operation zone, is of interest to the Military Police in terms of using it to investigate crimes committed first and foremost in the areas of combat operations, as it helps to protect personnel in case of threats of further strikes delivered by the enemy at objects where the Russian Armed Forces already record the consequences of previous strikes.
