05.08.2024
Complex training exercises with anti-terrorist groups were conducted in formations and military units of the Baltic Fleet. The mock terrorist groups have tried to seize various military facilities of the Fleet on the territory of the Kaliningrad and Leningrad regions.
During the drills, the anti-terrorism units promptly arrived at the tasks. The servicemen blocked and arrested groups of the mock 'terrorists'.
During the events, the units' forces and means, personnel, weapons and equipment, ability to use special means of mine clearance and detection of explosive objects, as well as means of reconnaissance, communication and surveillance were inspected.
In total, more than 300 servicemen and about 20 pieces of military and special hardware were involved in anti-terrorist activities. During the drills, simulation means including blank ammunition for small arms, smoke and TNT bombs were actively used.
The training takes place on a permanent basis in the Baltic Fleet.
