Pacific Fleet coastal missile crews conduct tactical drills on Matua Island
01.08.2024
The Bastion coastal missile crews of Northeastern Group of Troops and Forces held a tactical training on Matua Island, the Kuril Islands.
A coastal missile battery marched on combat vehicles on several routes though the island area and crossed brooks and coastal areas at the foot of the volcano. At the sire, the servicemen camouflaged the vehicles on primary and secondary positions.
Particular attention was paid to choosing the positions for firing from the dominant heights to effectively use the detection and engagement potential of the system.
More than 50 troops and 10 units of special hardware were involved in the drills.
