Vietnamese warship Tran Hung Dao leaves Vladivostok port

The frigate Tran Hung Dao of the Vietnam Socialist Republic Navy left the Pacific Fleet main base after completing the business call.

Supervised by Commander of the Primorsky Flotilla of Mixed Forces Rear Admiral Aleksey Sysuyev of the Pacific fleet, the farewell ceremony for the sailors was held on the shore.

The Russian and Vietnamese servicemen celebrated the Russian Navy Day during the stay of the frigate Tran Hung Dao. Moreover, an excursion and a visit of the Pacific Fleet museum were organised.

The business call took place from 24 to 31 July.

The frigate Tran Hung Dao was built at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard Aleksey Gorky under the project 11661E 'Gepard-3.9'. Launched on 27 April 2016 and delivered by the transport vessel Rolldock Star to the Vietnamese naval base of Cam Ranh on 27 October 2017. This is the third of four frigates built for the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
