
Two PLA Navy ships make business call to Vladivostok

Today, two ships - landing ship Longhushan and training ship Zheng He - of the People's Liberation Army Navy have arrived in Vladivostok
The training ship Zheng He was the first to moor at the 33rd berth of the Pacific Fleet's homeport. Earlier, the ship Tran Hung Dao of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Navy had moored at this berth. Despite heavy rain, a foreign navymen were warmly welcomed on the shore. The greeting ceremony was headed by Capt. II Dmitry Blinov (Deputy Commander, Surface Division, Primorye Flotilla).
The landing ship Longhushan was the second to enter Vladivostok's homeport. She moored at the pier of the city port due to her impressive size, which is similar to that of the Pacific Fleet's C2 ship Marshal Krylov. The Chinese sailors were also met with bread and salt following the Russian tradition. The ceremony was attended by Rear Admiral Aleksei Sysuyev, the Commander of the Pacific Fleet's Primorye Flotilla.
Foreign seamen are planned to participate in joint sporting events in Vladivostok together with the Vietnam Navy and the Russian Navy, including football and basketball friendlies, as well as a yawl rowing during the stay of the PLA Navy ships. Foreign seamen are expected to have tours round the city and a visit to the Pacific Fleet Museum.
The Chinese ships are planned to stay at the port till 30 July 2024.
