23.07.2024

The corvettes Rezhsky, Gromky, and Sovershennyy of the Pacific Fleet returned to Vladivostok after participation in the Russian-Chinese exercise Maritime Interaction 2024 and maritime patrols with the People's Liberation Army Navy (PRC) in the waters of the Asia-Pacific region.

The ships will soon replenish their materiel, and the crews will check the technical status of the ships.

After the preparatory activities are completed, the ships will continue to carry out the assigned tasks according to the combat training plan.

During joint actions, the sailors of the two countries practised anti-submarine warfare and engaged in maritime warfare, organised air defence of a detachment of ships, and escorted ships. The navies improved joint action in search-and-rescue operations at sea.

During the Maritime Interaction 2024 exercise, some 30 combat trainings were carried out, to include joint live-fire artillery drills at sea, coast, and air targets.

In just 15 days, the Russian and Chinese ships have patrolled a total of about 4,800 nautical miles in the Asia-Pacific region.
