Baltic Fleet minesweeper Aleksandr Obukhov practises combat training missions in Baltic Sea
23.07.2024
The Baltic Fleet minesweeper Aleksandr Obukhov practised a series of solo drills for the surface ship.
The minesweeper carried out mine search training, mine detection using hydroacoustic stations and sweeps.
Previously, the minesweeper carried out a series of artillery firing at a naval target, simulating an uncrewed surface vehicle, a coastal target, and a target simulating a floating mine. The crew also trained to ensure anti-sabotage defence in an uncovered raid with a preventive grenade throwing.
At the moment, ships and vessels of the Baltic Fleet carry out mine risk reduction measures, which are mainly carried out on recommended routes, fairways and anchoring grounds, ports as well as training grounds of the Fleet.
