The Baltic Fleet ship undergo planned air defence drills in the base of operations in Baltiysk. More than 10 surface ships and motorboats were deployed during the drills.
In the course of the drills, the ships' crews practised methods of joint deployment of air defence assets and units of ship formations, when repelling air attack means of the enemy.
The Naval Aviation Su-24 bombers of the Baltic Fleet played the role of the mock enemy.
On approach to the firing line, the aerial targets were destroyed by SAM systems, AK-630 artillery systems, and other air defence weaponry of the ships involved in the drills.
During the drills, the Baltic Fleet servicemen destroyed low-flying targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as set up combat tasks on different channels of communications.
