Counter-terrorist drills take place in Central MD's motorised rifle formation

Complex counter-terrorist drills took place in the Central MD's motorised rifle formation in Orenburg region.
According to the plans of the drills, sabotage and reconnaissance group of the mock enemy made an attempt to capture a checkpoint and gain further access to a military facility.
During the drills, the blocking and reinforcement units performed the tasks of repelling the attack, taking defensive positions, and further neutralising the mock enemy. AK-74 assault rifles, SVD sniper rifles, and Pecheneg machine guns were fired during the drills under cover of BTR-82A armoured personnel carriers. To create an environment as close as possible to combat, different means of simulation were used.
More than 100 servicemen and more than 10 units of military hardware were involved in the drills.
