
Pacific Fleet's corvette Gremyashchy conducts anti-submarine exercise off Kamchatka

The corvette Gremyashchy of the Pacific Fleet conducted an anti-submarine exercise off the coast of Kamchatka in the Pacific Ocean.
As part of the exercise, the military practised a response protocol when locating an unidentified submarine of a mock enemy.
During the first stage of the exercise, the corvette's crew conducted anti-submarine surveillance on the approaches to the Kamchatka location of the Pacific Fleet's forces.
After conducting search and detection training, the crew began the second stage of the exercise. The seamen carried out a set of measures to force the mock submarine to surface, and after failing to fulfil the requirements, the practised the response protocol to eliminate it.
During the exercise, her crew used a torpedo weapon and a RBU-6000 rocket launcher. The servicemen also practised an interval grenade throwing.
The anti-submarine exercise took place in accordance with the Fleet's combat training plan.
