
Russian Defence Minister inspects work of Black Sea Fleet command post

During the meeting, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu set the task to conduct with the personnel both day and nighttime constant training to repel terrorist attacks of the enemy, as well as to improve the survivability of ships and vessels, and the protection of infrastructure facilities in the area of responsibility of the fleet.
'Every day it is necessary to conduct training with the personnel to repel air attacks and attacks by uncrewed boats both day and nighttime, so that we have all crews ready,' said General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
The head of the Russian military department ordered to install additional firepower, large-calibre machine gun small arms systems to defeat enemy drones.
Also within the framework of the visit, the Russian Defence Minister inspected the progress of construction of a new military hospital in Sevastopol, where construction work is underway on an area of 8.5 hectares.
Russian Deputy Defence Minister Timur Ivanov reported that more than 20 buildings and structures are being constructed from scratch, including a modern medical and diagnostic building, helicopter landing sites, an infectious disease department, a blood transfusion station and an oxygen station, etc.
The medical complex will be completed on a turnkey basis this year and will be equipped with the most modern equipment and medical technology. The hospital will offer all types of examinations.
