
Russian Defence Minister inspects Russian Tsentr Group of Forces in special military operation zone

During a visit to the special military operation zone, Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu was briefed by the Tsentr Group of Forces' commander and staff officers on the current situation, enemy actions, and Russian troops' performance in the Group's area of responsibility.
Tsentr Group of Forces' commander Colonel General Andrei Mordvichev reported to Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu that during the operation to liberate Avdeyevka the enemy was pushed back 10 kilometres away from the positions. The Russian troops continue advancing in all directions.
During the briefing of the commander and staff officers, Sergei Shoigu pointed out the need to provide the Group with everything necessary to successfully perform tasks.
The Group's commander Andrei Mordvichev reported to General of the Army Sergei Shoigu that despite 'the whining of the Kiev regime about the acute shortage of artillery ammunition, the intensity of the enemy's artillery has not decreased.'
Head of the Russian military department noted the role of drones during the special military operation, and added that the supply of drones to the troops is planned, which are controlled using artificial intelligence technologies increasing the effectiveness of its use. 'We have come to this. This is becoming a pretty serious weapon,' Sergei Shoigu said.
The Group's commander noted that nowadays the effectiveness of the use of reconnaissance-strike and reconnaissance-attack systems by our units has significantly increased.
Over the past two weeks of February in Avdeyevka direction, attack unmanned aerial vehicles wiped out more than 700 enemy targets, including armoured hardware, artillery systems, radar means, and enemy manpower.
The Orlan-30 reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles proved its worth during liberation of Avdeyevka.
The Group's commander Andrei Mordvichev reported that in accordance with the instructions of the Russian Defence Minister, unmanned aerial vehicle teams have been created in formations and units, armed with both reconnaissance and attack drones.
Russian Defence Minister has set the task to further strengthen the Group by means of electronic warfare, primarily on the tactical level.
At the Group's command post, head of the Russian military department Sergei Shoigu awarded distinguished commanders with personalized firearms, spoke with military personnel, and thanked them for exemplary performance of combat tasks.
The officers reported to Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu on the mass surrender of Ukrainian servicemen in Avdeyevka. 'We have already captured about two hundred prisoners after the sweep, and according to gathered information, we plan to capture about a hundred more prisoners in the coming days,' the Group's commander said.
The Russian Defence Minister drew special attention to the need for humane treatment of captured servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 'You have heard what the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation said - humanely, as it has always been,' Sergei Shoigu stressed.
Deputy commander of the Central MD's Lieutenant General Yevgeny Tsindyakin drew attention to the shortcomings of Western weapons using the example of the U.S.-made M113 armored personnel carrier.
'The disadvantage of this vehicle is its poor cross-country ability. This applies to almost all European vehicles in our conditions,' said Yevgeny Tsindyakin.
The deputy commander of the Central MD's added that 'if we analyse the entire range of exhibits, then we are faced in full with the entire military-industrial potential of NATO.'
'It is clear to the whole world that the best assault rifle is Kalashnikov, no, they fight us anyway,' Sergei Shoigu added.
