Pacific Fleet's missile boats practise activities of second course mission in Sea of Japan

18.02.2024

The crews of R-298 and R-18 missile boats of the Pacific Fleet confirmed their readiness to fulfil their combat missions at sea during the K-2 course task.

For several days, missile boats carried out preparatory and qualifying artillery firing against sea and air targets in the waters of the Sea of Japan.

The personnel of the missile boats also practised firing at a floating mine and firing a hand grenade launcher at detected suspected saboteurs.

In the course of the exercises, the sailors practised their intended tasks by firing electronic launches of Moskit missiles at the mock enemy ship. In this episode, the crews of the missile boats practised the entire algorithm of actions when going into a missile attack, except for the actual missile launch.

The events were conducted according to the combat training plan of the Pacific Fleet.
