Frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, Pacific Fleet, undergoes anti-submarine warfare drills
25.12.2023
In the Sea of Japan, the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov of the Pacific Fleet successfully trained searching for, detecting, and destroying a hostile submarine.
Using standard means and the Ka-27 deck anti-submarine helicopter of the Pacific Fleet Naval Aviation, the ship's personnel conducted an extensive search for the submarine.
It was possible to quickly locate the underwater target and monitor its movement by helicopter using a hydroacoustic station.
The crew of the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov prepared anti-submarine weapons and practised destroying the enemy submarine with depth charges from the RBU-6000 missile launcher.
The combat training took place at one of the naval training areas of the Fleet.
