On December 22, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov telephoned Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan.
The ministers exchanged views on current bilateral and international issues with a focus on the situation in the South Caucasus in light of regional countries' special role in promoting normalisation between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
They also discussed some aspects of Russian-Turkish cooperation, including the schedule of upcoming contacts at the top and high levels.
