Pacific Fleet's detachment of ships complete business call programme and left port of Chittagong (Bangladesh)
14.11.2023
A detachment of warships of the Pacific Fleet comprising the large anti-submarine ships Admiral Tributs, Admiral Panteleyev and the medium sea tanker Pechenga completed the programme of a business call and left the port of Chittagong in the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
The visit of a detachment of Pacific Fleet's ships to Chittagong port, 50 years after the previous visit of Russian naval sailors to Bangladesh, was part of strengthening partnership in the Asia-Pacific region.
The detachment of large anti-submarine ships continues to fulfil tasks in the Asia-Pacific region. The purpose of the long-distance sea voyage is to demonstrate the Russian Navy flag in the region, to develop and strengthen friendly relations with foreign countries, and to popularise the Russian Navy.
