
Pacific Fleet corvette Sovershenny undergoes anti-submarine drills in Peter the Great Bay waters

The Pacific Fleet corvette Sovershenny crew located and neutralised mock enemy submarine during anti-submarine drills in the Peter the Great Bay waters.
As scheduled, the corvette's crew performed tasks according to its purpose in a combat training area and received coordinates of an unidentified underwater target from the Pacific Fleet command centre.
The Pacific Fleet naval aviation Il-38 anti-submarine aircraft crew transferred the coordinates of an underwater target during patrolling over the Peter the Great Bay waters.
After establishing contact with the submarine, the corvette Sovershenny performed electronic launches of the anti-submarine complex Paket-NK to destroy the submarine.
The exercise was conducted in accordance with the combat training plan of the Pacific Fleet.
One of the diesel-electric submarines of Project 636.3 Varshavyanka of the Pacific Fleet acted as mock enemy vessel.
