Missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov holds air defence training
02.11.2023
The Northern Fleet's missile cruiser Marshal Ustinov conducted a training exercise to repel an airborne attack of a simulated enemy. The crew employed onboard anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as naval artillery.
By means of computer simulation, the exercise simulated a tactical scenario requiring the ship to train employing weapons against simulated aerial targets.
At the same time, crews of the radio-technical and missile-artillery units, the main command post, and the ship's combat information centre practised the standards for have fulfilled the requirements for target designation and receipt, as well as the use of the cruiser's self-defence weapons.
As part of the training, exercises were conducted to practise destroying low-flying targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
