
Pacific Fleet warship detachment makes business call to Thilawa, Republic of the Union of Myanmar

A Pacific Fleet warship detachment has made a business call to the port of Thilawa, Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The detachment includes the large anti-submarine ships Admiral Tributs and Admiral Panteleyev.
The day before, the detachment had crossed the Andaman Sea, where it was practising the tasks assigned to it during a long-distance mission in the Asia-Pacific region.
The business call of the Russian ships will include the opening ceremony of the first joint naval exercise of the Russian and Myanmar fleets, reciprocal visits of the ships of the two countries, sports and cultural events.
It is planned that the Pacific Fleet's detachment of TOF ships stays in Thilawa until 7 November 2023.
