Russian motorised rifle units eliminate mock enemy in mountains of Tajikistan

23.10.2023

Motorised rifle units of the Russian military base in Tajikistan eliminated mock enemy illegal armed groups in the course of the test firing drills at the Lyaur training ground.

According to the drills plan, the enemy took a sector of the terrain and assumed defensive positions. Motorised rifle units were tasked to leave the concentration area, launch an attack, and eliminate mock enemy illegal armed groups. BTR-82A armoured personnel carriers deployed in battle formation fired 2A42 30 mm automatic cannons and 7.62 mm Kalashnikov tank machine guns. Servicemen fired at targets imitating mock enemy light-armoured hardware and manpower.

Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle crews adjusted fire, as well as transferred the results of target engagement to the command post in real time.
