Over 1,000 troops from Baltic Fleet involved in live-fire drills in Kaliningrad region

Combined units including Marines and Baltic Fleet's Army Corps units are involved in training to comply with firing standards using different small arms in Kaliningrad region.

This week, over 1,000 troops are involved in live-fire drills on several training grounds of the Baltic Fleet.

Before getting to the firing line, servicemen thoroughly study the exercise conditions of small-arms drills, procedure for adjusting optical sight system, and firing rules.

Supervised by instructors who have modern warfare experience as by those who participated in the special military operation, the combined units are practising small-arms firing using AK-74M, AKS-74U, AK-12, sniper rifles, Kord large-calibre machine-guns, RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers, and are training throwing hand grenades.

Targets on the training ground are imitating hostile manpower and armour. The training is highly intense, servicemen employ night-vision equipment and special equipment for reconnaissance.

The servicemen perform tactical firing exercises using the latest methodology adapted to modern warfare conditions, characterised by simultaneous combination of firing tasks using the full range of weapons, reconnaissance and military hardware.
