
Medium sea tanker supplied to Russian Navy put on water in Shlisselburg

In Shlisselburg (Leningrad Region), the Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, launched the Vasily Nikitin medium sea tanker, which is built in accordance with the state defense order for the needs of the Navy.
The new vessel will be the second in a row and the first production tanker of the project 23130. The main purpose of the project 23130 medium sea tanker is the reception, storage, transportation and transfer of various liquid cargoes for the fleet: fuel oil, diesel fuel, engine oil, aviation kerosene, fresh water. It is also possible to transport dry cargo, including various technical and skipper property, food.
The functionality of the tanker allows it to deliver fuel simultaneously to three vessels coming from it at a distance of 50 to 100 meters on board or in the wake.
