
Northern Fleet's Arctic detachment leaves Dudinka port

Northern Fleet's arctic vessel detachment, including large anti-submarine ship Vice Admiral Kulakov, large landing ship Aleksandr Otrakovsky, and rescue towboat Altai left Dudinka port for Kara sea.
Northern Fleet's servicemen spent a week in Dudinka. Northern Fleet's detachment arrived there on 29 September. More than 3,000 local residents went on tour around large anti-submarine ship Vice Admiral Kulakov.
The 12th campaign of the Arctic expeditionary detachement of the Northern Fleet on the seas of the Arctic Ocean began on 10 August. In the course of trip, servicemen of Northern Fleet undergo island and continental territories defence drills in the territory of Russian Arctic, ensured safety of maritime navigation and other maritime economic activities of Russia in the Arctic. A number of training exercises took part near the archipelagos of Franz Josef Land, Novaya Zemlya and the Novosibirsk Islands, Severnaya Zemlya.
