29.09.2023
Military-technical cooperation is one of the central issues in relations between the CIS defence agencies, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Friday.
'Issues of military-technical cooperation are constantly in the focus of attention of the Council of Defence Ministers and bilateral contacts. In this connection, I would like to stress that the Russian Federation is always open to deepening cooperation in this area,' Sergei Shoigu said as he opened the meeting of the Council of CIS Defence Ministers, which is taking place in Tula.
He called it symbolic that the joint work with his colleagues began with a visit to a Tula defence enterprise and acquaintance with Russian military products.
Welcoming the participants in the regular meeting of the Council of CIS Defence Ministers, Sergei Shoigu noted that 'it is taking place in the 'Hall of Fame of Russian Arms' of the famous museum of Tula armourers.'
Earlier, the heads of delegations who arrived in Tula for the meeting of the Council of the CIS Defence Ministers visited the Joint-Stock Company Instrument Design Bureau named after Academic A.G. Shipunov on Friday.
