
ARMY 2023 IMTF announces development of new radio communication system for UAVs

A roundtable on 'Prospects of development of systems and means of communication of complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles' organised by Military Training and Research Centre of the Air Force 'Air Force Academy' specialists took place at the ARMY 2023 IMTF.
In the interests of the Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation, development of radio communication means for UAVs systems is underway to improve the efficiency of solving information support and management tasks, data transmission for the use of weapons in order to increase the effectiveness of strikes.
'Analysis of Western-made data exchange systems and modernisation of the Russian Armed Forces own developments allowed Russian engineers to develop new radio communication system for UAVs, which will surpass foreign analogues', – participants of business and scientific programme concluded.
As an example, participants discussed the introduction of Russian Vega-01 system designed for the organization of group control of UAVs, which allows to quickly and precisely plan the use of multiple UAVs. The system is also capable of receiving and processing large amounts of information in real time. With its help, it is possible to organize interaction with information consumers and other objects of automated information management systems. In addition, the Vega-01 system is able to provide secure transmission and authentication of information flows.
