Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu is convinced that the developments of the Russian defence industry will be in demand in the Vietnam People's Armed Forces.
'I am convinced that weapons, military hardware and modern technologies presented at the ARMY 2023 International Military-Technical Forum will attract the attention of the Vietnamese side and will find practical implementation in the national armed forces,' said Sergei Shoigu during a working meeting with the Minister of National Defence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Phan Van Giang today on the margins of the 11th Moscow Conference on International Security.
According to Sergei Shoigu, Vietnam has been and remains a reliable ally of Russia, a key partner in the Asia-Pacific region, interaction with which is of a comprehensive strategic nature.
'Without a doubt,' he noted, 'Russian-Vietnamese multifaceted cooperation meets the fundamental interests of our states. This has been repeatedly noted in the course of negotiations at the highest level.'
According to Sergei Shoigu, today's meeting is an excellent opportunity to exchange views on topical issues on the current agenda, which will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation in the defence sphere.
He thanked his colleague for his personal participation in the events organised by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
