05.07.2023
Tu-142 anti-submarine aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defence of the Northern Fleet carried out another scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Arctic Ocean.
The duration of the flight was more than 9 hours.
The crew of the anti-submarine aircraft performed the flight over the waters of the Barents and Kara Seas, and also over the southern part of the Arctic Ocean.
In addition to performing ice reconnaissance tasks, the pilots carried out aerial reconnaissance and monitoring of the situation in the Arctic.
Tu-142 long-range anti-submarine aircraft of the Northern Fleet flew in strict compliance with the Aviations law regulations.
Flying in the Arctic is preceded by thorough crews' navigational training, taking into account the special geographical location and the difficult meteorological situation. During these flights, the crews significantly increase their level of training, as well as practising various issues of crew convergence and piloting elements.
