30.06.2023
The Pacific Fleet's destroyer Admiral Tributs practised searching and elimination of a mock enemy submarine at a firing range in the Sea of Japan.
The drills took place in accordance with the Fleet's training plan. A Project 636.6 diesel submarine Varshavyanka operated as a mock enemy submarine.
During the drills, with practise fires, the destroyer and the submarine staged a duel. The destroyer Admiral Tributs located the submarine, launched torpedoes, and deployed rocket-thrown depth charges. In turn, the submarine delivered a torpedo strike at the destroyer.
Moreover, the destroyer carried out a set of exercises on anti-submarine defence, combat manoeuvring while searching for an enemy submarine and evading anti-submarine weaponry strikes.
Due to skilful and swift actions of the ship's crew, all objectives of the drills were completed.
