
Russian Pacific Fleet units undergo exercises during tactical drills in the off-shore maritime zone

Under the training plan of the Pacific Fleet's command for 2023, the Fleet's Commander-in-Chief Admiral Viktor Liina will supervise joint forces drills in the off-shore maritime zone, namely in the Sea of Japan and Okhotsk, from 5 to 20 June 2023.
During the exercises, Russian vessels and naval aviation are to commence search and surveillance of opposing force submarines, undergo drills, involving surface and aerial targets, perform onboard missile and artillery systems gunnery training, provide air defence to the squadron, organise logistic support of the squadron at sea.
Over 60 Russian Pacific Fleet combatant and auxiliary ships are involved in the drills, including 35 naval aviation aircraft, coastal troops, and more than 11,000 troops.
Currently, the Fleet's units are deployed in the assigned areas and began the drills.
