
Representatives of the Russian and South African armed forces hold talks in Moscow

A military delegation of the South African Armed Forces led by Lieutenant General Lawrence Mbatha, Chief of the South African Army, has arrived in Moscow to discuss bilateral military cooperation.
The event began with a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden, led by the Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces General of the Army Oleg Salyukov.
The official part of the bilateral talks took place at the General Command, where the sides discussed military cooperation and interaction aimed at implementing projects intended to improve the combat readiness of the armed forces of the two countries.
During the meeting of the military leaders, agreements were reached on further enhancing cooperation between the land forces in various spheres.
The delegation will also visit military training institutions of the Land Forces and enterprises of the defence industry complex.
