
Pacific Fleet squadron commences joint maneuvering drills in South China Sea waters

Having passed through the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the Philippine Sea, the Pacific Fleet squadron, including corvettes Gromkiy, Sovershenniy and medium sea tanker Pechenga, continues on their course in the Pacific Asia region.
At the moment, the squadron hones joint maneuvering elements in the South China Sea and took part in naval air defence drills, searched for the mock enemy submarines and interacted with the Pacific Fleet naval aviation helicopters.
The Pacific Fleet is present in the Pacific Asia region under the Fleets scheduled combat exercises according to the adopted drills plan.
