Baltic Fleet's surface action group trains to launch a missile strike
12.05.2023
The Baltic Fleet's missile ships carried out electronic missile launches against sea and shore targets as part of a routine exercise at sea ranges.
A surface action group made up of the small missile ships Serpukhov and Zeleny Dol launched electronic Kalibr missiles against targets that simulated a squad of enemy warships and crucial coastal infrastructure in the naval ranges of the Baltic Fleet.
All of the intended targets were successfully struck as a result of the electronic launches. The surface action group fired in a jamming environment that had been purposefully set to make the mission more challenging.
In addition, the warships fired all types of barrel artillery, hitting realistic naval targets and repelling a massive air raid by a mock enemy.
During the manoeuvres, the ships practised various types of electronic jamming exercises.
