Press release on the protest in connection with Poland's aggressive anti-Russian actions

On May 2, Polish Charge d'Affaires in Russia Jacek Sladewski was summoned to the Foreign Ministry, where officials expressed strong protest in connection with the seizure of the Russian Embassy in Poland's school building by the Polish security forces on April 29. This egregious act is a flagrant violation of the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and appears particularly cynical since it is directed against schoolchildren, whom the Polish authorities have brazenly put out on the street.
The Polish diplomat was also told that this step is another element of Warsaw's policy that is devoid of moral and legal rules and is designed to annoy Russia and level our relations to the ground. Suffice it to recall the systematic destruction of the Soviet memorial heritage in Poland, the state enabling acts of vandalism at our military burial sites, or the deliberate falsification of World War II history. Warsaw is readily offering its territory as a staging ground to flood Kiev with weapons, sending Polish mercenaries to Ukraine, and taking an openly aggressive and hostile stance towards Russia.
The above steps taken by Warsaw will not go without a response, which we will waste no time in providing. We can hardly count on the Polish authorities' sensibility and proceed from the fact that our response will nevertheless make them ponder the long-term consequences of their policy.
