
Phone Call with President Putin of Russia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.
The call addressed regional matters, notably the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war.
President Erdoğan noted that they continue to take the necessary initiatives with all parties for the resolution of the problems with regard to the implementation of the Istanbul Agreement on grain shipment.
Voicing his confidence that they will establish solution-oriented cooperation on this issue as has been the case for many matters, President Erdoğan said that if they resolve the grain crisis with a constructive approach, they will also have encouraged steps for returning to negotiations.
President Erdoğan thanked President Putin for his sincere remarks about Türkiye and himself during his speech at the Valdai Discussion Club meeting.
