On September 23, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Faisal Mekdad on the sidelines of the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly.
The ministers had a detailed exchange of opinions on the developments in Syria and around it with a focus on prospects for further progress of the comprehensive political settlement in Syria.
They also reviewed current issues pertaining to further strengthening Russian-Syrian bilateral relations.
