On September 23, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embalo on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The parties discussed current issues of Russia-Guinea-Bissau cooperation and prospects for its development, and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to elevate the political dialogue and expand trade, economic and investment ties.
The officials stressed the key role of the UN in resolving crisis situations in the world and the need for all states to comply with generally accepted legal norms governing relations in global politics.
