
Foreign Ministry Statement on measures in response to Iceland, Norway and the Danish autonomous territories of Greenland and the Faroe Islands joining the EU sanctions against Russia

In connection with Iceland, Norway and the Danish autonomous territories of Greenland and the Faroe Islands joining the European Union's anti-Russian sanctions, which include personal restrictions against Russian officials, Russia has taken countermeasures against nine representatives of Iceland, 16 representatives of Norway, three representatives of Greenland and three representatives of the Faroe Islands. Pursuant to Federal Law No. 114-FZ On the Procedure for Exit from and Entry into the Russian Federation of August 15, 1996, these individuals are prohibited from entering our country.
A number of parliamentarians, Government members, and representatives of business and academic communities and the media, as well as certain public figures actively promoting anti-Russian rhetoric and participating in shaping and carrying out policies directed against our country, have been placed on the reciprocal Russian blacklist.
