Uraltransmash began supplying Akatsia howitzers for the Russian Ministry of Defense

As part of the state defense order Uraltransmash of the Uralvagonzavod concern, Rostec State Corporation delivered the first batch of 2S3M Akatsia self-propelled howitzers after major overhaul.

"The communication facilities have been improved in the car, and work has been carried out on complete import substitution. Self-propelled howitzers are fully equipped with transportable spare parts, tools and accessories and handed over to the customer, "said Dmitry Semizorov, General Director of Uraltransmash JSC.

The 152-mm 2S3M2 "Akatsia" self-propelled howitzer is designed to destroy and suppress artillery, tanks, self-propelled guns and other armored equipment, suppress rear services and command and control bodies, and destroy field and long-term defensive structures.
