
Su-25 Warbird Crashes in Eastern Russia, Pilot Ejects to Safety

A Su-25 bomber jet crashed in Russia's eastern Primorsky Krai region, a source said Wednesday.
VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) – According to the source, the plane was carrying out a training flight.
"According to premlinary information, the plane fell near a village," the source told RIA Novosti.
There have been no casualties as the pilot managed to eject, the source said.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that there have been no casualties as a result of a Su-25 (NATO reporting name: "Frogfoot") jet crashing in Russia's eastern Primorsky Krai region.
Earlier in the day, a source said that the pilot managed to eject. The plane was carrying out a training flight.
"The pilot ejected, his life and health are not under threat. The flight was being carried out without ammunition. There are no victims or destruction on the ground," the ministry said in a statement.
