Russia's military-industrial complex development unaffected by sanctions - deputy PM

MOSCOW, July 1. /TASS/. The Russian military-industrial complex continues its positive development despite Western sanctions, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said on Wednesday.
'In general, the dynamics of major financial and economic indicators of the military industry remained positive in 2014 although the external environment has been clearly changed,' Rogozin told a government hour at the State Duma, Russia's lower house of parliament.
This is despite the sanctions 'which have been first of all directed against the leading concerns and corporations of the Russian military-industrial complex,' Rogozin stressed.
Last year, the total profit of the military industry enterprises grew by 29.4% and the net profit saw an almost 2.6-fold increase. The average workforce productivity was up by more than 24%
The output of the military-industrial complex in 2014 grew by 15.5% The maximum level (24%) was reached in radio electronics industry, in aircraft manufacturing (17.1%) and rocket and space sector (8.6%).
