All Russian warships get opportunity to undergo scheduled repairs in Sevastopol

13 May 2014, 19:29 -- From now on, the Russian warships on a mission in the Mediterranean will undergo scheduled maintenance at the Ship Repair Yard 13 of the Black Sea Fleet, a spokesman for the Russian Navy told Interfax-AVN on Monday. 'The first Russian warship to have arrived at the Black Sea Fleet's base in Sevastopol is the large anti-submarine warfare ship Admiral Levchenko of the Russian Northern Fleet.

It will undergo scheduled maintenance to restore its technical readiness following a four-month mission at sea,' he said. 'The scheduled repairs in the dock and restoration of the ship's technical readiness will proceed at the Black Sea Fleet's Ship Repair Yard 13 with which a three-year state contract has been concluded for the maintenance of the Black Sea Fleet warships and warships from all other Russian fleets carrying out missions in the southern directions,' he also said.

'The Admiral Levchenko will be the first warship not assigned to the Black Sea Fleet to undergo repairs in Sevastopol. Before Crimea was integrated with Russia warships of Russia's Northern, Pacific and Baltic fleets could not undergo repairs at Ship Repair Yard 13 in Sevastopol,' the spokesman said.
