MOSCOW, January 23 (RIA Novosti) - A commander of a Russian military unit who wrapped a soldier in toilet paper from head to toe and then set him on fire was found guilty by a Kursk Region court, a military investigation department said on Monday.
“Investigators and the court determined that on September 16, 2011, Yermakov, who was drafted into military service in December 2010, in the presence of other soldiers wanted to show his so-called superiority over a newly enlisted soldier and wrapped him from head to toe with toilet paper and afterwards set him on fire,” the investigation department's statement said.
According to the investigation department, the soldier was not seriously injured in the incident.
“The court sentenced Yermakov to two years at a disciplinary military unit,” the statement said.
