MOSCOW, April 14 (RIA Novosti) - Rosoboronexport Co. made a public introduction of leading-edge projects during today's Techno Exchange forum-part of the exposition, Russia Germany's Partner Country, at the Hanover industrial fair, the corporate press service said to Novosti.

The Rosoboronexport federal unitary company is Russia's sole government trade intermediary with export/import rights for the entire range of arms and military technologies.

There are more than 800 civil-oriented innovation projects on the company database for today, offered by more than 200 companies within the Russian military-industrial complex, a Rosoboronexport spokesman said at the introduction gala. Those high-tech projects are fruit of military industry shifting to civil-oriented production. Many of those projects are real breakthroughs, with no analogue throughout the world.

Suffice it to mention sensational nano-disperse ceramic, metal and ceramic-metal compound powders, installations and know-how to manufacture them, and manufacturing technologies for a wide range of basalt-based materials and resultant produce.

"Every nano-ceramic powder particle varies in diameter from twenty to a hundred nanometers. A nanometer is the meter's billionth fraction. Such powders are used in medical instrument making and for automobile parts-bearings, filters and internal combustion engines. Nano-materials spectacularly enhance durability, allow performance in an aggressive environment, and reduce slits to the smallest possible," said the company spokesman.

He also highlighted basalt-based materials and related produce-stone-strong textiles, reinforcing nets, and fiber-basalt piping. Such pipes are welcome to construction and oil-and-gas industry, as they promise mainlines a service life of 600 years, to do without an overhaul for 60 years. Relevant manufacturing technologies are also in offer.

An overwhelming majority of exhibited projects are fruit of government programs. They base on pioneer ideas and have a high degree of completeness, pointed out the informant.
