RIA Novosti
LUXEMBOURG, February 28 (RIA Novosti) - The Iranian nuclear program is absolutely peaceful, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said following the talks with the EU trio in Luxembourg on Monday.
"I am not going to persuade anyone that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful," he stressed.
According to him, Russian-Iranian cooperation does not frustrate the EU talks with Iran. The Russian Foreign Minister pointed out the importance of coordination of efforts of the EU trio and Russia.
Mr. Lavrov also hailed the possibility of the US involvement in the talks. "Both Russia and the EU are interested in US help in order to achieve our common goal," he emphasized.
