RUSSIA TAKES PART IN AERO INDIA-2005 EXHIBITION

MOSCOW, February 9 (RIA Novosti's Olga Semyonova) - The Russian Defense Industry will display nearly 700 samples of military, multipurpose and civil aircraft at the fifth International Airspace Exhibition, Aero India-2005, which opens on Wednesday in Bangalore.

RIA Novosti was told about it by a spokesman for the press service of the Rosoboronexport which, by the decision of the Russian government, is an organizer of the Russian section of the exhibition in Bangalore.

According to the spokesman, Russia presents at the exhibition, "in the form of samples, models, posters and advertising materials, about 270 displays of multipurpose aircraft and armaments and also more than 400 displays of double purpose and civil products."

"Our collection has been compiled, taking into consideration the most perspective trends in the development of Russian-Indian military and technological cooperation," the Rosoboronexport spokesman underscored.

He also said that demonstration flights would take place every day at the Air Show. The Russian MiG-29M2 fighter will also participate in them. Incidentally, this aircraft will represent Russia in the tender of the Indian Air Force which intends to buy a consignment of multipurpose fighters.
